Introduction to the Morning Prayer with Saint Michael

Welcome to the Catholic Morning Prayer, in which we ask Saint Michael the Archangel for his intercession and spiritual protection throughout the day. We ask Saint Michael to use his sword to free us from all the bonds that keep us bound spiritually while entrusting him with our lives, our jobs, and our families.

Listen Here to the Saint Michael Morning Prayer:

You will find in this video from my Youtube channel With Mary the morning prayer with Saint Michael the Archangel:

Prayer to invite the Holy Spirit

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created and You shall renew the face of the earth.

O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Opening Prayer

Lord, as I begin a new day, we praise you, I thank you and I glorify you for the gift of life you have given me. Let me be aware of your presence and spirit that guides my decisions, conversations, and work. I desire to be more like Jesus, when I am with others, whether they are friends or strangers. Jesus, you were always doing your father’s will, and I ask that although I am weak, I may also recognise that through the power of your Holy spirit, I can also be obedient to the will of God on this day.

I Ask specifically on this Day for the powerful intercession and intervention of Holy Saint Michael the Archangel to defend me in battle, to protect and guard me against enemies, spiritual warfare, obsessions and sicknesses. Jesus, I trust in you and thank you for the communion of Angels and Saints.

God be praised for the freshness of the morning and the dawning of this new day. Blessed Michael, we call upon your special custody over us. Please shield us from all bodily and spiritual peril. Help us to be truly Christian in today’s activities and leisure moments. Inspire us to do good, to shun evil, and to remember how precious we are to the Giver of this new day. Amen.

Pray for Saint Michael the Archangel’s Help

O glorious Prince of the heavenly host, Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle and in the fearful warfare that we are waging against the principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, against the evil spirits.

Come thou to the assistance of men, whom Almighty God created immortal, making them in His own image and likeness and redeeming them at a great price from the tyranny of Satan.

Fight this day the battle of the Lord with the legions of holy Angels, even as of old thou didst fight against Lucifer, the leader of the proud spirits and all his rebel angels, who were powerless to stand against thee, neither was their place found any more in heaven. And that apostate angel, transformed into an angel of darkness who still creeps about the earth to encompass our ruin, was cast headlong into the abyss together with his followers. But behold, that first enemy of mankind, and a murderer from the beginning, has regained his confidence. Changing himself into an angel of light, he goes about with the whole multitude of the wicked spirits to invade the earth and blot out the Name of God and of His Christ, to plunder, to slay and to consign to eternal damnation the souls that have been destined for a crown of everlasting life.

This wicked serpent, like an unclean torrent, pours into men of depraved minds and corrupt hearts the poison of his malice, the spirit of lying, impiety and blasphemy, and the deadly breath of impurity and every form of vice and iniquity. These crafty enemies of mankind have filled to overflowing with gall and wormwood the Church, which is the Bride of the Lamb without spot; they have laid profane hands upon her most sacred treasures. Make haste, therefore, O invincible Prince, to help the people of God against the inroads of the lost spirits and grant us the victory. Amen.

Act of Consecration to Saint Michael

Friends, this Act of Consecration to St Michael the Archangel is a powerful prayer of consecration to St Michael, for his lifelong protection in the spiritual battle we endure as Christians from all evil, especially at the hour of our death. According to St Alphonsus Liguori, “The powers of hell will assail the dying Christian; but his angel guardian will come to console him. His patrons, and St. Michael, who has been appointed by God to defend his faithful servants in their last combat with the devils, will come to his aid.”

Oh most Noble Prince of the Angelic Hierarchies
valorous warrior of Almighty God,
and zealous lover of His glory,
terror of the rebellious angels,
and love and delight of all the just ones,
my beloved Archangel Saint Michael,
desiring to be numbered among thy devoted servants,
I, today offer and consecrate myself to thee,
and place myself, my family,
and all I possess under thy most powerful protection. I entreat thee not to look at how little,
I, as thy servant have to offer,
being only a wretched sinner,
but to gaze, rather,
with favorable eye at the heartfelt affection
with which this offering is made,
and remember that if from this day onward
I am under thy patronage,
thou must during all my life assist me,
and procure for me the pardon of my many grievous offenses,
and sins, the grace to love with all my heart my God,
my dear Savior Jesus and my Sweet Mother Mary,
and obtain for me all the help necessary to arrive to my crown of glory. Defend me always from my spiritual enemies,
particularly in the last moments of my life. Come then oh Glorious Prince and succor me in my last struggle,
and with thy powerful weapon cast far from me
into the infernal abysses that prevaricator
and proud angel that one day thou prostrated in the celestial battle. Saint Michael, defend us in our daily battle
so that we may not perish in the last Judgment.
Amen.

Decade of the Rosary with Mary

In this decade of the rosary we ask the blessed Virgin Mary to protect us this day along with Saint Michael the Archangel. We entrust all of our prayer intentions and each of our hearts as we ask that the promise of St Michael be fulfilled: protection during life, and after death, deliverance from purgatory.

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary x10

Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen.

Glory be… O my Jesus

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead to heaven all souls, especially those most in need of thy mercy. Amen.

Hail Holy Queen

Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Saint Michael Protection Prayer

Holy Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
